Your coding agent can make Excel files and follow file feedback

Claude Code and Codex can create spreadsheets with formulas and charts, request Word and PDF copies, and reply to comments on shared files.

Ask your coding agent for a workbook in a Room and get an Excel file you can keep working in. When the job needs a document instead, your agent can request a Word or PDF copy of its saved work.

Improvements

  • Excel files with working formulas. Your coding agent can create a workbook with multiple sheets, number formats, and totals that recalculate in Excel.
  • Charts that follow your data. Add column, bar, line, area, or pie charts that stay linked to the workbook’s cells.
  • Word and PDF copies. Ask your agent to export a saved document it made in the Room. The copy appears in that document’s Export menu.
  • Feedback stays with the file. Your coding agent can read a shared file’s comment threads and reply where the feedback was left.

Fixes

  • Room drafts keep unsent attachments and replies when you switch conversations.
  • The Threads badge counts unread earlier chats.
  • Closing a file tab asks before discarding a picture that is still uploading.
